Welcome to the Canterbury Tennis Club
 
 
Canterbury Tennis Club has four brand new Policlay synthetic tennis courts, with the last two being commissioned in October 2009.  Members can now enjoy the use of four brand new synthetic courts, all with floodlights, which never need watering and only the occassional bagging.
 
Canterbury Tennis Club is situated next to Canterbury Sports Ground in Croydon Rd Surrey Hills, just near Chatham railway station.  It was originally known as East Boroondara Tennis Club and was officially opened in 1896.  The grounds surrounding the courts were upgraded in late 2010 - early 2011 and the clubhouse was repainted in January 2011. 
 
We are a club catering for the needs of the community providing tennis facilities to members of all ages.  We have approximately 340 members ranging from pre-school to our oldest active member who is in her 80s.
 
 
The club caters for all members, providing access to competition six days per week for children and adults, as well as catering for social play mostly during the week.  We also have a club coach with coaching available on Monday to Friday - see the Coaching page for more details.
